SCADADroid Integration with Gmail


Sending and receiving notifications with SCADADroid® using a Gmail™ email account requires settings to be set within the SCADADroid® software. This article will outline the steps required to setup Gmail™ email settings within SCADADroid® software.

Quick Directions

  1. Create a new Gmail™ email account
  2. Go to Manage Your Google™ Account (see screenshot below)
  3. On the left, click on “Security”
  4. Set-up 2 factor authentication
  5.  Go to
  6. Create a new device password. Be sure to record the password given, as it cannot be recovered once made. This is the password you will use in the Scadadroid® Configuration
  7. Go to your Scadadroid® Overview page (default
    1. Change your e-mail settings as follows (see screenshot below for an example)
      Email Address: <use gmail e-mail created in step 1>
      Incoming mail server type: IMAP (default)
      Incoming mail server: (default is
      Incoming mail server port: 993 (default)
      Keep mail on server? Keep (default)
      Outgoing mail server: (default is
      User: <use gmail e-mail created in step 1>
      Password: <use password generated in step 6)
      Fetch email: 1 minute (default)
